Joey Ray Has New List

Joey Ray, a sharp-shooting 5-10, 185 pound sophomore combo guard from Vincennes J.C. in Vincennes, Ind., is looking to bounce back on the Division I level next fall.
A native of Indianapolis, Ind., Ray spent last year at Lamar University in Texas, where he averaged 11.3 points per game. He is hoping to use this year at Vincennes as a springboard back to the Division I ranks.

Ray is the Blazers' second leading scorer, averaging 17.1 points and 3.9 assists per game. In a recent loss to Mineral Area C.C. at the Meramec JUCO Shootout, Ray connected on a trio of second half three pointers on the way to 17 points in a 73-71 loss.
Ray can bring the ball up and distribute, but he's most dangerous as a scorer from the wing. He is shooting 40 percent from beyond the arc this season, and has taken just under half (82/172) of Vincennes' three point attempts this season.
Blazers Head Coach Dan Sparks told JUCO Junction/Rivalshoops.com that Indiana State and a bevy of Mid-American Conference (MAC) schools have expressed interest in Ray this winter.
JUCO Junction/Rivalshoops.com will keep you posted on Ray's recruitment in the coming weeks and months, so stay tuned.
