Joe Sasich Impresses At Alhambra
FROSTBURG, MARYLAND - Joe Sasich, a 6-6, 215 pound junior forward from Judge Memorial High School in Salt Lake City, Utah, played a strong tournament this past weekend at the 42nd Annual Alhambra Catholic Invitational Tournament. Sasich averaged 15.8 points and 5.7 rebounds for the Bulldogs.
Head Coach Jim Verkovih said that Utah, Brighman Young, Utah State, Colorado and Gonzaga are among the schools that have shown interest in his top scorer; Sasich averaged 21.2 points per game this past season.

Sasich runs the floor well which enabled him to be on the receiving end for a number of fast break passes for reverse layups. Verkovich said that Sasich has really improved his footwork this past season. The young man has a nice mid-range jump shot.
Richmond, La Salle, Penn State, Georgetown and Dayton were among the eastern schools who likely got their first look at Sasich.
