Jet Quick PG Lists Schools

FT. WAYNE, Ind. -- Andrew Lavender, a jet quick 5-7, 150 pound point guard from Brookhaven H.S. in Columbus, Ohio, looked unstoppable on Saturday afternoon in All-Ohio Red's victory over the Portland Inner City Players.
Lavender exploded for more than 30 points in the victory, using his devastating speed and quickness to score consistently and lead his team to the win.

Lavender told the Insiders Report/Rivalshoops.com that he has a top four list of Oklahoma, Texas, Seton Hall and Ole Miss. He also listed N.C. State, Cincinnati and Louisville as potential college destinations.
"Those schools are all recruiting me pretty good right now, but I won't commit until after the summer or until I take all of my official visits in the fall," he added.
Lavender said he hopes to take official trips to all four of the programs sitting atop his list, and will leave the fifth visit open for whoever can seize it in the weeks and months to come. He has already paid unofficial junkets to Michigan State, Cincinnati and Ohio State, although only the Bearcats (of that lot) are still on his list.
Lavender averaged 12 points and 11 assists per game this past season at Brookhaven. He can seemingly penetrate at will and has a very solid short-midrange pull up game from the perimeter. He uses his quickness to create space and score consistently from the perimeter and in the lane despite his short stature.
Lavender said he holds a 2.7 GPA and will take the ACT exam for the first time in June.
He has planned a very busy summer, which should include pit stops at the Nike All-American Camp, the Nike Peach Jam (assuming invite), the AAU Super Showcase and the AAU Nationals. Lavender said he will also squeeze in a session of the famed Five-Star basketball camp somewhere along the line.
