Jeremy Monceaux Injures Leg

BRONX, NEW YORK -- It looked horrible initially for Jeremy Monceaux, who landed arkwardly on his right leg after driving to the basket early in the first half against the New Jersey Roadrunners.
Monceaux, a 6-1 guard from Parkway Christian High School in Birmingham, Alabama, immediately fell to the ground. Only the painful cries of Monceaux could be heard in the Rose Hill Gym on the campus of Fordham University. Monceaux pounded the floor a couple of times with his hand, trying to release of the pain that had taken over his leg.

His dad, sitting at the scorer's table, raced over to his son. Ten minutes later, Jeremy got up and limped to the sidelines. An ice pack was placed right below his knee. He seemed to be in pain for about 40 minutes.
But he recovered enough later in the evening to walk around outside without any assistance. Tallahassee head coach John Adkins said a decision had not been made on whether the leg would be x-rayed.
His dad told us he thought his son was fine. Outside, Jeremy also confirmed what his dad had told us.
It's likely the knee will be examined once Monceaux arrives home tomorrow night in Alabama. The Tallahassee Wildcats could not advance to the quarters without Monceaux. See additional story on this website.
