Jenkins Just Needs Strength

2005 prospect Michael Jenkins of Bellevue West High School in Omaha, Nebraska has the length and skill to play at the high major level. What the 6-foot-3, 165-pound combo guard must develop to play high major basketball is strength.
“Michael is a project at this point,” said Bellevue West head coach Doug Woodard. “He is long and athletic, but he is not strong enough yet to play high major ball. He can shoot it, and he is very creative with the ball.”

Coach Woodard listed Arizona, Stanford, Creighton, Bradley, and Southern Illinois as schools that Jenkins is hear from.
“They are all saying the same thing to him,” said Coach Woodard. “They want to watch him this summer and see if his strength has improved.”
Jenkins averaged 18 points and 5 rebounds per game for his 23-2 state championship team this year that started all underclassmen.
