Jemison down to three

Now that the season is over and three-star senior prospect Demetrius Jemison has academically qualified, the 6-foot-6, 225-pound forward from Huffman High School in Birmingham, Ala., is down to three schools.
"My top three are Georgia, Alabama and Baylor," said Jemison, the No. 149 ranked prospect in the Rivals150. "All three of them have offered."

Jemison already has an official visit scheduled for Baylor on April 8, and he will be in communication this week with the Georgia and Alabama coaching staffs.
"I will talk with the Georgia coaches this week and set up a visit," he said. "I won't take an official visit to Alabama because I have been there so much already. I'm going with my family to talk with Coach Gottfried sometime this week."
A wide bodied, undersized post player, Jemison has made strides in extending his game away from the basket, and his focus during this off season will be to continue to develop his perimeter game.
"Now that the season is over, I want to work on my man to man perimeter defense and my ball handling," he said. "I know I'll be asked to play some three in college."
When it comes to choosing a college, Jemison is looking to improve his game and compete for a championship.
"I'd like to play right away for a team that makes the tournament and competes for championships," he said. "The main thing for me is to find a place that will make me better as a player."
Demetrius Jemison scouting report:
A tough competitor, Jemison is a very tough match up in the low post with his ability to carve out space with his wide body. Able to defend both forward positions, Jemison does need to improve his effectiveness offensively on the perimeter.
