Javorie Wilson Makes A Decision

Javorie Wilson, a scrappy 6-6, 205 pound power forward from Odessa J.C. in Odessa, Tex., has given a verbal commitment to Northeastern University.
JUCO Junction/Rivalshoops.com has confirmed this verbal commitment with Odessa Asst. Coach Matt Figger.

Wilson played at Trinity Valley C.C. in Athens, Tex., last year before transferring into Odessa this fall.
Wilson attended Miami Senior H.S. in Florida, and actually sat out a year at Division I Northern Iowa before playing at TVCC last winter.
Former Miami Senior Head Coach Frank Martin is now an assistant coach at Northeastern. In fact, two of his former players at Miami Senior, Sylbrin Robinson and Cornelius Wright, are at Northeastern after spending time at Odessa J.C.
Wilson is expected to sign in the fall with Northeastern. However, he will not be eligible to play until the second semester at Odessa, because he did not obtain a release from Trinity Valley.
A very aggressive forward with a nose for the ball, Wilson played well when we saw him last March at the Region 14 Championships in Jacksonville, Tex., for TVCC. He's a factor on the glass and is willing to do a lot of the dirty work that often means the difference between wins and losses.
