Jaspers Land Combo Guard
The Manhattan Jaspers landed a talented combo guard from St. Raphael Academy in Pawtucket, Rhode Island after their Midnight Madness weekend. Jeff Xavier, a 6-foot-1, 172-pounder committed to the Jaspers this past weekend.
Xavier had a great junior campaign. He averaged 28 points, 7.9 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 4.4 steals for coach Tom Sorrentine. Xavier shot 48% from the field, 39% from three and 82% from the line.
Xavier had some recruiting interest from Providence and also had some more serious interest from Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Rider. Xavier can play either guard slot and can shoot the long range jumper.
