Jason Chappell Should Be Force In Big Ten

Jason Chappell, a 6-9 forward from Worcester Academy in Massachusetts, is anxious to play in one of the country's top conferences -- the Big Ten. His coach, Mo Cassara, was extremely excited when he first got the word that Chappell was going to play for his program this year. We asked Cassara today whether he still has the same excitement.
"Jason is really coming along," Cassara said. "He has a big body. He is one tough kid. And the nice part of his game is that his touch is improving game to game."

Cassara believes that Chappell is going to be a very good college basketball player someday. Chappell has already made a commitment to Wisconsin. "Jason is still growing," Cassara said. "I don't know if many people realize that about Jason. As he continues to grow, he will be even tougher to defend in the paint. Jason is about 20 pounds away from being a force in the Big Ten."
Chappell had also considered South Carolina and Rhode Island before he decided to stay home and play for the Badgers. Chappell played this past summer for the Wisconsin Playground Warriors. The Warriors are considered one of the top AAU programs in the country.
Jason is also very skilled in the classroom. So he is a great relief to any coach. Jason handles his classroom material without any headaches. He has a 28 on his ACT and a 3.75 GPA.
