Carter is a player who likes to play fast and loose, and his decision-making can be questionable at times. However, he is a scintillating athlete with a knack for scoring on the break and in bunches from the perimeter when clicking on all cylinders.
Barton Head Coach Ryan Wolf told JUCO Junction/Rivalshoops.com that Carter was previously looked at by Texas El Paso, South Carolina, Oregon State, Cincinnati, East Carolina and Duquesne.
A third-year sophomore who red-shirted at Barton in 1999-2000, Carter averaged 16.1 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 2001-2002. He started all 30 games he appeared in, missing just one contest the entire season. Carter shot 48 percent from the field and 34 percent (49/146) from beyond the three point arc.
