James Shoff: a Top Defender

Rick Shoff is only part of the equation for the Utah Vipers. Along with top prospect Shaun Green, Shoff has the help of his twin brother James Shoff. James Shoff, a 6-foot-2 combo guard out of American Fork High School in Alpine, Utah listed four division one schools that he is hearing from.
“Schools I’m hearing from are Pepperdine, Santa Clara, Utah, and Navy,” said James Shoff.

Shoff can shoot the ball, and according to his AAU coach and father Carl Shoff, he is one of the best defenders in Utah.
“He’s considered the best defensive player in the state,” said Coach Shoff. “He has a good shot. He is unselfish and does not turn the ball over. He plays hard all the time and does things to help the team win.”
Right now Shoff’s focus is to bring his offensive game more in line with his defensive game.
“I’m working on my offensive game a lot, my shooting, free throw percentage, and ball handling,” he said.
