James Brown Looking For School

James Brown, a bruising 6'0 195 lb combo guard from The Gunnery School in Washington, Connecticut, is a tenacious defender and fierce competitor.
Brown, who finished out his high school career last season at All Hallows High School in The Bronx before taking a postgrad season at the Gunnery, has received college interest from Fairfield, George Mason, Quinnipiac, and had heard from Rhode Island early. Brown, who averaged 24.5 points and nine rebounds for coach Jon Russillo this past season, guarded every position from the 1 to the 5. "He's a slasher," said Russillo. "And he plays big."

Brown, who is extremely strong and physically mature, played football for the first time this past season for The Gunnery, and wound up rushing for over 1,000 yards.
James plays AAU ball with Riverside Church and The Warriors, a New York city-based program. He carries a B average, and has scored 930 on the SAT.
