It's still early, but shooting guard Jalen Green has already put himself on the map as one of the top players in the class of 2020. Before it's all said and done, he wants to be considered the best.

A fluid, skilled and high scoring two guard who has played very well on the grassroots circuit with Team Truth, Green also made USA Basketball's gold medal winning U16 National Team and scored nearly 10 points per game in just over 16 minutes an outing.

"I'm just trying to create opportunities for my team and myself in the half court," Green told Rivals.com. "In the full court, anybody can get out and do anything it's needing to work on my halfcourt.

"My scoring is natural, but I've developed it a lot. I need to get my buckets."

Though he still has three years of high school remaining, Green is well known by college coaches. Hometown Fresno State has offered and so have Arizona, Creighton, Florida State, San Diego State, USC, UNLV, Villanova and Washington.

He's been to Fresno and USC and plans to see another campus after summer.

"It's great, getting my name out there with those high D1 schools," said Green. "I'm working on getting better. After this summer I should be going to Arizona to visit."

Green thinks it's way too early for favorites or making a decision. He's got his focus on development and an eye on proving that he is the best player in the class of 2020.

"I'm trying to get number one in that ranking list," said Green. "I'm not going to be satisfied until I do.
