Jacobson excited about Arizona

It was no secret that Alex Jacobson, the No. 88 ranked prospect in the class of 2007, was very high on the Arizona Wildcats, and the 7-foot-1, 223-pound center from Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, Calif., removed any possible suspense when he committed to Arizona earlier this week.
"Yes, I've decided to play my college ball at Arizona," said Jacobson. "I like the atmosphere there a lot. The campus is nice, and they have state of the art facilities."

Jacobson, who was also considering USC (offer), Oregon (offer), Oregon State, Minnesota and UCLA, also noted his comfort level with the coaches and players as primary reasons he chose Arizona.
"The coaches are fun to be around off the court but are very serious on the court," he said. "All the players are really nice and easy to get along with."
Having averaged 10 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks per game as a sophomore, Jacobson is intent on developing himself into a bona fide high major center during his last two years of high school ball.
"I want to improve my post moves and my footwork," he said. "I also need to get more athletic and stronger."
