Since he committed back in August, Kadeem Jack has been the centerpiece of Mike Rice and Rutgers top 20 recruiting class in 2011. It's starting to look like Jack could beat his classmates onto campus.
Multiple sources have confirmed to Rivals.com that the 6-foot-8 big man who had been prepping at South Kent (Conn.) Prep is now back home in New York. According to those sources, Jack has no plans to return to South Kent and is now mulling over his options.
Because he was an academic qualifier out of high school, Jack could conceivably enroll at Rutgers at the end of this semester. If that happens, he would be eligible to play the second half of the season for Rutgers.
A four-star prospect, Jack -- who has been unavailable for comment -- is currently ranked #33 in the class of 2011.
Rivals.com will have more on this story as it develops.
