Jack continues to sort through visits

The Kadeem Jack recruiting sweepstakes are beginning to heat up. As one of the top unsigned big men in the 2010 class, Jack has significant recruiting interest, and some visits to take. Now that his season is over, Jack is beginning to work through the process and getting things set up.
Playing at Rice High School in New York City, Jack was under the spotlight all season long, and he responded in a big way. Traditionally Rice is dominated by guards, but this year it was the 6-foot-8 and 210 pound Jack that stepped up.

The dominance displayed by Jack on the court led to offers from Arizona, Arkansas, UConn, Florida, Georgia, Miami, Seton Hall, UCLA, West Virginia, and others. At this point Arizona is the only school he has visited, but according to his mentor Damian Leslie, that is about to change.
"We are just looking at his time schedule and his mother's work schedule and being able to get time off to go visit," said Leslie. "He was hoping to visit UConn this upcoming weekend, but it isn't looking to good."
While UConn will definitely receive a visit according to Leslie, there are two other schools firmly in the mix to get trips as well.
"The Miami and Arkansas situations are being worked on," explained Leslie. "We are going to see how everything plays out in terms of the upcoming month."
Due to the fact that Jack's recruitment exploded so late in the process, he wasn't able to get a great feel for the coaches at each school. Now that he has seemingly narrowed down his focus, Jack is beginning to really build those relationships.
"Definitely, it almost goes without saying," said Leslie about Jack's growing relationship with coaches now that the list has been narrowed. "It is a lot simpler and gives the assistant and head coaches more time to map out a direction for Kadeem's future."
Though Jack has only made one visit, a decision shouldn't be too far off. Leslie says that one could come soon after Jack makes the remaining visits on his list.
"I would think definitely within the next 30 days," said Leslie of a decision.
Currently Jack is a three star prospect, and someone who has a great chance to enter the rankings when the final updates are made.
