Jabbar Battle Has List Of Five Schools

Jabbar Battle, an offensively polished 6-6, 240 pound power forward from Olney Central C.C. in Olney, Ill., has five serious suitors courting him this fall.
According to Olney Head Coach Jim Glash, Indiana State, UNC-Wilmington, Wisconsin Green Bay, Illinois-Chicago and Loyola (Ill.) are heavily involved with Battle this fall.

Battle averaged 10 points and five rebounds per game as a freshman at Olney, although Glash is expecting even bigger and better things from his returning sophomore forward.
Battle has shed close to 30 pounds in the off-season according to Glash, and that should help to improve his quickness and athleticism.
Last year, JUCO Junction had the chance to evaluate Battle at the Moberly Thanksgiving Tournament, and he was an offensive juggernaut that evening for the Blue Knights.
Simply put, Battle is an extremely efficient offensive performer who knows how to size up defenses and score. He uses clever fakes and excellent timing to consistently score in the low post, yet he can also step out to midrange and knock down perimeter jumpers.
A native of Chicago, Battle is expected to sign in the spring, Glash said.
