Ivy Power Versus Big Name Schools

Oh, what an interesting recruiting battle it has become for Harrison Schaen, a 6-8, 205 pound combination forward from Mater Dei H.S. in Santa Ana, Calif.
"I am going to visit Arizona this weekend and Stanford the following weekend," Schaen said. "Then I am talking to Yale about setting up a visit. And I want to officially visit Princeton too."

Schaen said he is also thinking about taking some unofficial visits in the summer. "I am still considering California, Maryland, and Penn," Schaen said. "Education is a big part of my decision. So this is why I want to take some visits to the Ivy League schools."
Schaen took his first official visit to Southern California a few weeks ago, from Apr. 19-21.
"I want to have a decision by July," Schaen said. "I don't want to go through the summer with the recruiting going on. I want to enjoy my summer and just enjoy playing basketball."
Schaen might make the announcement at the Nike All-American Camp in Indianapolis, Ind.
Schaen played with the Belmont Shore/H-Squad entry this past weekend at the 8th Annual Kingwood Classic in Texas. A skilled big man who demonstrated good passing skills and the ability to step out and face the basket.
An excellent student, Schaen said he has a 3.3 GPA and scored a 1220 on the SAT.
Schaen has a busy summer ahead, which will start in late June at the NBA Players Association Camp. He will then attend the Nike All-American Camp, and play with the Mater Dei squad at the adidas Big Time Tournament in Las Vegas, Nev. He will also play with Dino Trigonis' Belmont Shore program this summer.
