Ivory Totally Committed to Providence

Although power forward Anthony Ivory from Marriott Hospitality Public Charter High School in Washington, D.C. told RivalsHoops.com that he was looking at other schools despite having already committed to Providence, a recent official visit to Providence has convinced Ivory to totally commit to the Friars.
“The visit went really well,” said 6-foot-10, 290-pound Ivory. “I am totally committed to Providence now. Being back around in the area, being with the team, the whole situation, the coaches and everything was great.”

Ivory along with fellow big man Jerome Habel are poised to lead Marriott Hospitality to a state championship.
“Practice is going real well,” said Ivory. “We probably can be the best team in the state. Jerome and me are switching between the five and four position.”
Ivory, who is working to drop thirty pounds, is almost fully recovered from stress fractures in both shins.
“I want to get down to 260-pounds. My shins are not yet 100 percent, but they are improving. They are about 90 percent.”
