Chris Johnson, a gangly 6-foot-10, 170-pound power forward from Washington & Lee H.S. in Mt. Charles, Va., opened some eyes this past spring with his outstanding play.
Johnson, who played with the Richmond Squires' "B" team at the tournament, is a big man with a penchant for shooting the three pointer.

RivalsHoops.com watched Johnson play in a pool game last weekend against the Fairfax Stars, and he drained several three pointers in an easy Squires victory. He's quick end to end, but due to his frail build, Johnson has trouble finishing plays amid congestion in the paint.
According to Richmond Squires program director Tony Squires, Johnson is slated to transfer into Notre Dame Academy in Middleburg, Va., next fall. It's unclear at this time whether or not Johnson will do one year or two at the Virginia prep power.
Johnson, who is the half brother of current Notre Dame rising senior guard Joe Posey, told RivalsHoops.com that he has seen early interest from programs like Indiana, West Virginia and James Madison.
While Johnson clearly needs to add a significant amount of bulk to his frame, his shooting skills make him an attractive prospect at the Division I level. He plans on playing with the Squires this spring and into the summer evaluation period.
