Isreal: Taking it as It Comes

Omari Isreal, a strong 6-6, 215 pound small forward/swingman from Good Counsel H.S. in Wheaton, Md., said he has offers on the table from a quartet of programs this summer.
Isreal, who spoke to the Insiders Report/Rivalshoops.com on Wednesday from the adidas Big Time Tournament in Las Vegas, said that Rhode Island, Penn State, Virginia and West Virginia have extended the scholarship offers to him.

He also has seen interest this summer from Georgia Tech, Maryland and Tennessee, but those programs have yet to offer the talented small forward from Rockville, Md.
"Right now, I have all of my options open," Isreal said. "My family and I are waiting to see what is the right choice, because this is going to be the most important decision in my life, so we are just trying to make is the right one."
Isreal has no concrete timetable for a decision, but he said he will wait until after the summer and most likely will hammer out things after taking official visits in the fall.
Because he is a Maryland native and the Terps are the defending national champions, there has been much written about Israel's alleged desire to attend the ACC school.
"Maryland is one my favorite schools, and if they offer me a scholarship, that would be great, but I am just waiting to see what happens," Isreal said. "If they offered me, I don't know what I would do, I would have to talk things out with my family."
Isreal declined to name a leader and hasn't yet set up any official visits for the fall.
After attending the ABCD Camp and Three Stripes Tournament earlier this month, he plans to conclude this summer out west with D.C. Assault at both the Big Time and Best of Summer Tournaments.
We will keep you posted on his play here as the playoff action unfolds, so stay tuned!
