Just when it looked like Malik Hairston was all set to officially visit Oklahoma, a new development has occurred. On Sunday evening, the Sooners received a commitment from a JUCO shooting guard/small forward that had visited Norman a few days earlier. Hairston was hoping to visit Oklahoma a few days after the Jordan Capital Classic, but the visit appears to be up in the air as of right now.
“Malik and I are going to talk about the official visit to Oklahoma when I get home tonight,” Richard Hairston said. “We had planned to visit Oklahoma after Malik played in the Jordan Capital Classic on Saturday evening, but I will speak to my son later this evening and see what his thinking is.”
If for some reason Hairston decides not to take an official visit to Oklahoma, a visit to Oregon could take place. Ducks head coach Ernie Kent was in Detroit last week for an in-home visit with the Hairston family.
Mr. Hairston indicated that a decision about what visits to take would be decided upon within the next few days.
Rivals.com ranks Hairston No. 7 on the Rivals150 list.
