Irving originally planned to take all five of his official visits, but he is cutting it short at three. Irving plans to announce his decision on television Thursday night.
Georgia Tech and Seton Hall won't get a chance to host Irving, a 6-foot-2, 175-pound combo guard from Elizabeth (N.J.) St. Patrick High School, on a visit.
Irving visited Duke, Texas A&M and Kentucky, and Duke is considered the favorite in this recruiting race.
Irving is the No. 9 ranked prospect in the Rivals150.
Kyrie Irving scouting report:
A highly skilled combo guard, Irving has a great feel for creating scoring opportunities for himself and his teammates. He has great touch while shooting on the move and can make a variety of shots. Defensively, he has exceptional hands and creates turnovers with his ability to anticipate plays.
