Irish land junior power forward

A vast majority of the fans packed inside of Notre Dame stadium drove home feeling as if Michigan's Denard Robinson had ripped out their hearts. However, Irish fans willing to see the glass half-full were able to claim a recruiting victory after Austin Burgett picked the Irish shortly before kickoff.
A skilled and tough 6-foot-7 junior power forward from Avon (Ind.) High, Burgett spent his summer being trailed by college programs. Yet, everywhere he turned, there was a Notre Dame coach to watch. From that, the Irish were able to forge a strong relationship at an early point in Burgett's recruitment.

Saturday, Burgett decided that there was no reason to postpone his decision any longer.
"I love the basketball facilities and just the coaches and the players," Burgett told Jake Brown of IrishIllustrated. "They're easy to talk to. They have excellent personalities. Like some coaches are afraid to say something. They just say it. You want a coach that can be a coach and you can go talk to them when you need to ask them something."
