Irick Takes Game Outside

Willie Irick is a very talented player. Many had labeled him as just an athlete. But over the past month, Willie has proven he is more than just an athlete -- he is also progressing in the skill department.
Irick dropped in 24 points yesterday and grabbed four rebounds to help his team win an afternoon session game at the ABCD camp in Teaneck, New Jersey.

Irick also knocked in two three-pointers. Some schools are going to have to take a hard look and determine how high Irick should go now if he continues to show a balanced offensive game.
Irick previously told us he had interest from some major schools -- DePaul, Connecticut, and Washington. But if he continues to master the outside game, he is likely to see more interested programs showing serious interest.
Irick, a member of the class of 2003 who averaged 18 points, 12 rebounds, and four blocks this past season for Teaneck, often battles with bigger opponents in the paint.
Irick carries a 2.4 scholastic GPA. He will take the SAT for the first time in October.
