Iowa strikes again in Minnesota

Andrew Brommer will play in the Big Ten after all. The 6-foot-9, 215-pound power forward from Rosemount (Minn.) High School verbally committed to Iowa on Monday.
The two-star prospect was a one time Minnesota commitment under the former Gopher staff but opted to look around after Tubby Smith took over the program. Brommer said he liked what he saw in Todd Lickliter's program.

"I want to be a Hawkeye," Brommer said in a statement. "I took a visit to the University of Iowa and I loved it. The campus was beautiful, the academics are great for business and engineering, and the players are really good guys and they're really talented too. Coach Lickliter and his staff are perfect for me. The system they have is a great fit for my skills."
The Hawkeyes are having success in Minnesota. The program already has a commitment from Anthony Tucker, an AAU teammate with Brommer in the summer. The duo join Iowa native Matt Gatens in the 2008 recruiting class.
Brommer averaged 16.3 points and 7.5 rebounds as a junior at Rosemount.
