Interest in Scoring Guard Picking Up

Scoring point guard Artavis Fisher from Kingston High School in Kingston, New York has had several schools visit him in the last couple weeks.
St. Bonaventure’s and Canisius recently visited the 5-foot-10, 155-pound Fisher. Next week Fisher plans to unofficially visit both schools.

Evansville and Furman have also recently visited Fisher, and James Madison will visit next Tuesday.
The only other school Fisher is considering is Wisconsin Green Bay.
All of these schools have offered Fisher, except for Evansville and James Madison. An offer from James Madison, however, may be coming soon.
“A couple weeks ago they [James Madison] came up to see Will Daniels before he committed to Rhode Island and happened to see me,” Fisher said. “They are coming again Tuesday and want me to take an official visit.”
As of now, the only school that Fisher plans to officially visit is James Madison. He also describes his interest in St. Bonaventure’s, Canisius, and Furman as high.
“I like St. Bonaventure’s, but I am interested in them all,” he said. “I need to see the schools first. I like the coaches for all of them, but St. Bonaventure’s has been on me the longest. I’m not trying to sign early. I will take my time and see what penalties St. Bonaventure’s gets. I’ll sign late.”
Will the offers still be there for Fisher if he does wait to sign?
“I don’t know. They are asking me to sign early, but I’m taking my time. I still need to take the SAT and ACT. The first time I did poorly.”
