Interest Growing in Adrien

Jeff Adrien put up 27 points and 14 rebounds per game last year for Brookline (Mass.) High School. The 6-foot-6, 225-pound power forward will prep next year at Brewster Academy, and several schools are interested in the now 2005 prospect.
"I’m wide open, but I do like UConn, Dayton, Boston College, Providence, Iowa State, Kansas and Miami among others,” said Adrien. “Dayton, Boston College, and Wright State have already offered me, and UConn, Providence, Iowa State, and Nebraska called me recently."

Basketball is not necessarily the first concern for Adrien when it comes to choosing a school.
"I want to go to a place that has good academics and where I can fit in socially and with the team," he said.
Adrien is a little undersized as a power forward, but he is very strong and has long arms. When RivalsHoops.com caught him in action at the Boo Williams Invitational, he displayed the ability to finish with his back to the basket on polished post moves. He also was very active defensively in the paint.
"IM currently working on my entire game,” he said. “I want to improve everything and will be working hard this summer to do so."
"I feel my strengths are my ability to score in the post, and I can take bigger guys outside."
