Indiana big man talks recruitment

Like most players in the class of 2007, Gary McGhee, the 6-foot-10, 245-pound center from Anderson (IN) Highland High School is still in the early stages of his recruitment. Quite a few schools have already dropped by the gym in order to get a closer look at the Indiana big man.
"Illinois, Wisconsin, Bowling Green, Virginia Tech, Virginia, Xavier, Purdue and Ohio State are some of the schools recruiting me and are some of the schools that I like," said McGhee. "Coaches from South Florida, Wisconsin, Purdue, IUPUI and Ball State have already been by to watch me practice."

Aside from the aforementioned programs, McGhee is also being recruited by the likes of Miami-FL, Connecticut, Indiana and several other programs. Having already taken one unofficial visit, McGhee is looking forward to taking some official visits when that time comes.
"I have actually been to Wisconsin for an unofficial visit," said McGhee. "I went down to Wisconsin during homecoming and went to the football game. I really had a great time and enjoyed everything about the visit."
When the time does come for McGhee to start taking official visits, the 6-foot-10, 245-pound center has a good idea of some of the schools he would like to visit.
"Xavier, Bowling Green, Illinois and Purdue are the schools that I would like to officially visit," said McGhee. "I do plan to use all five visits, but I don't know what school I am going to visit for my final one. I just want to see how my season goes and then make a decision from there.
"We are 0-2 right now as a team, so I want to focus on my season," he added. "We've gotten off to a slow start this year, but I am hoping that we can turn things around."
