Increasing interest in Hill

Solomon Hill came across as an intriguing combo forward prospect playing for Los Angeles Fairfax High School this year. This past weekend in Las Vegas, however, Hill established himself as a legitimate high major small forward.
"People are starting to see some of the valuable things Solomon can do," said Fairfax head coach Harvey Kitani. "Plus he is a four year player. At the rate he is improving, by his sophomore or junior year he'll be as good as a freshman McDonald's All American."

Texas has been enamored by Hill's length and athleticism. Coaches scouting the Las Vegas Spring Showcase also got a look at an evolving skill game. Hill, 6-foot-6, 195-pounds, was knocking down threes, slashing to the basket, finding open teammates as well as defending and rebounding.
"The school that has found him intriguing all year long is Texas," said Kitani. "USC was in here Monday to watch him as well as Renardo Sidney. San Diego State really likes him. San Diego is coming here on Tuesday. And Oregon has been showing some interest."
