Impressive List for Ellington

One of the top prospects in the class of 2006 Wayne Ellington had a strong showing for The Playaz in the 17-under division of the TOC. The 6-foot-4, 190-pound shooting guard from Episcopal Academy in Merion Station, Pa., gave an impressive school list to RivalsHoops.com.
“Right now I am looking at North Carolina, Duke, Arizona, Connecticut, Villanova, St. Joe’s, and Wake Forest,” said Ellington, the No. 27 ranked player in the class of 2006. “My favorites would be North Carolina, Duke, Arizona, and Connecticut.”

Ellington, who averaged 18 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists per game this past high school season, is both a versatile and athletic player. He also scored 18 points per game during the TOC and rebounded and defended. Still developing physically, the long Ellington displayed the prowess to score in a lot of different ways although he was not always strong enough to finish.
Ellington had these thoughts on his play during the TOC.
“I have been playing pretty good,” he said. “I have been scoring and my jump shot has been falling. I have also been handling the ball and trying to get assists. I need to work on not getting in foul trouble.”
