Illinois lands Chicago wing

Over the past few years, Bruce Weber and his staff at Illinois have made a concerted effort to lock down their borders. With Nnanna Egwu and Tracy Abrams already in the fold for the class of 2011, the Illini added another in-stater on Monday afternoon.
Fast rising wing Mycheal Henry an athletic wing from Chicago (Ill.) Orr became the third Chicagoland prospect to offer up a verbal pledge to play for Weber.

"I talked to Coach Weber this afternoon and committed," Henry told Doug Bucshon of rivals affiliate OrangeandBlueNews.com. "My final three schools were Illinois, Georgetown, and Wisconsin."
After a huge junior season, Henry had just begun to create a stir with his play on the grassroots circuit with the loaded Mac Irvin Fire.

Henry Scouting Report
An athletic wing with a terrific frame, Henry is a relative newcomer to the national scene. He put up big numbers for his high school team and shows plenty of promise as both a perimeter jump shooter and slasher from the wing who can finish with power. We like that he pays equal attention on the defensive end and that he puts up big rebounding numbers from the wing.
