Ibrahim Making Strides In His Game

One of the more interesting players to track in the junior college ranks this winter will be 6-10 power forward/center Sani Ibrahim, who has landed at the College of Southern Idaho in Twin Falls, Id.
Ibrahim spent the last two years at very well known boarding schools in the United States. He played at the Winchendon School in 2000-2001 and then at Oak Hill Academy in 2001-2002.

Last winter and spring, several high Division I programs courted Ibrahim aggressively, among them Alabama, Georgia, West Virginia, Indiana and Illinois. He seriously considered throwing his hat into the NBA ring last year, but instead decided to attend junior college.
According to CSI Asst. Coach Jay Cyriac, Ibrahim spent the summer down in Florida working out with many NBA players, and has made strides in his overall game. That's not good news for the Golden Eagles' opponents in the rugged Scenic West Athletic Conference, as he could become a Nigerian nightmare for them in 2002-2003.
Cyriac said that Ibrahim is not really entertaining the idea of being recruited by colleges at this juncture. In fact, he is seriously considering a short stay at CSI before testing the NBA waters.
Of course, a lot could depend on how Ibrahim plays this winter, and Rivalshoops.com plans on seeing the Golden Eagles at some point during the season.
We'll let you know how he plays, as well as stay on top of his future options.
