Humphries Shines In Lopsided Win

Duke-bound big man Kris Humphries put his small man skills on display yesterday at the Slam Dunk at the Beach tournament in Delaware. Humphries, with the Duke staff looking on, scored 21 points (three quarters worth of work), including two three-pointers. Humphries also picked up a team-high 11 rebounds.
Humphries' smooth stroke enabled Hopkins (6-0) to upend Eleanor Roosevelt (2-7), 80-47. Hopkins immediately ended this contest with a 28-12 first quarter run. The lead extended to 20 points by the half. After Hopkins rolled off an 18-8 advantage in the third quarter, Hopkins emptied its bench to start the fourth.

Darren Clarke added 13 points for the winners while teammate Boston College signee Dan Coleman was also impressive for Hopkins. Coleman scored 13 points.
Matt Samuels was impressive in the loss. Samuels played hard from start to finish. He scored 13 points for Roosevelt.
