Gainesville Sun's Dylan Tomlinson reported that Florida assistants saw Humphrey practice in January. Maryville High School coach Rodney Nelson told Tomlinson, "They were there about an hour and Lee didn't miss a shot. He knew they were there and I don't know if I've ever seen him play so well."
Humphrey plays with the Tennessee Travelers and is scheduled for this week's AAU Super Showcase in Lake Buena Vista, FL.
He joins point guard Ryan Appleby who also announced for Florida over the last few days. Forward Chris Richard committed to the SEC school earlier this month.
