Hughley ends recruitment

Sanchez Hughley, the 6-foot-3, 185-pound shooting guard from Lyman High School in Longwood, Fla., has made a decision about his future. After taking a visit to Florida Atlantic during the weekend of August 27, Hughley has given a verbal commitment to Coach Matt Doherty and the Owls.
"Yes sir, I have committed to Florida Atlantic," said Hughley. "I really made my decision on Sunday night after thinking about it. I decided to give a commitment to Florida Atlantic because I wanted the burden of the recruiting process off me. I wanted to be able to focus on my senior year, so I made the decision."

Hughley, the 6-foot-3 shooting guard from Longwood, Fla., indicated that he selected Florida Atlantic for a number of reasons, but none more than his relationship with several members of the Owl coaching staff.
"Oh man, Coach Mike Balado and I have a great relationship," said Hughley. "Throughout the entire recruiting process, Coach Balado and I talked whenever possible. He is actually more like a brother to me and is just an awesome person.
"Coach Rex Walters also did a great job during my recruitment," he added. "I am so excited about spending time with each member of the coaching staff after I graduate high school."
