How High Will Mensah Go

Kojo Mensah, an ultra-athletic point guard from Brooklyn's Bishop Loughlin High School, competed this weekend with Riverside Church at the Rumble in the Bronx.
Kojo is a capable slasher who is quick to the hole. He has a knack for scoring in traffic, with a considerable wingspan and good body control. Offensively, his slashing ability is his greatest attribute. The biggest question with Kojo's game is whether he can hit the outside jumper with regularity. He doesn't often spot up from deep, instead opting to knife to the hoop.

Kojo possesses good lateral quickness and is a gritty defender. His passing ability is an underrated aspect of his game. Mensah has good court vision and awareness.
Kojo told Rivalshoops.com that he has heard from Pittsburgh, Stanford, who recently inquired and wants to see his transcript, UConn, and UMass. Other schools who have expressed interest include Hofstra, Siena, Iona, and a slew of mid-majors. Hofstra offered Mensah after he participated in a team camp at the Long Island school this weekend.
Pittsburgh saw him work out this spring. Kojo has expressed interest in visiting Pittsburgh, UConn, and UMass.
"I'm just weighing my options at this point," said Mensah. "I'll probably wait until around the end of the summer to make a decision."
Mensah will participate in the Peach Jam with Riverside Church, as well as the Adidas Three Stripes Tournament at Hofstra, and he might go to Las Vegas for the Big Time tournament.
"My coach says that I should be at the ABCD camp," said Mensah.
Kojo finished up the academic year with an 85 average. He took the June SAT, and has not yet received his mark. He had previously scored 940 on the PSAT.
