Houston Pursuing Allen
According to Coach Fred Horton, Andre Allen’s coach at Booker T. Washington High School in Memphis, Tennessee, Allen is being pursued hardest by the University of Houston.
“Well, Andre is looking at Tennessee, and he still has his eye on Memphis and other schools in the area like Arkansas,” said Coach Horton. “Now Houston has really been involved. He has been to Houston, and the coaches have spent a good deal of time here. Houston is on him the hardest.”

The 5-foot-8, 170-pound point guard has indicated that he may wait until the spring to make a decision. It is likely that Arkansas is waiting to see what Kyle Lowry, the No. 20 player in the Rivals150, does before offering Allen.
Coach Horton said he was not sure what Allen, the No. 32 ranked player in the Southeast 34, is thinking as far as when he will sign.
“I really don’t know what Andre is thinking,” Allen said. “He plays it close to the vest like a true point guard. He doesn’t let anyone know what he is going to do.”
