Houston add another three-star prospect

James Dickey and his staff made a strong splash in the early signing period landing a trio of three-stars. Now, they've added another in LeRon Barnes.
Tuesday morning, sources close to the situation confirmed the commitment of Barnes an athletic 6-foot-6 small forward from Stonewall (La.) North DeSoto High.

Although still relatively unknown outside of his home region, Barnes showed strong flashes last summer while playing for Louisiana Select.
As a senior, Barnes made All-State class 3A in Louisiana while posting 33 points and 10 rebounds per night. A slasher with bounce, he's also a capable passer and should develop into a pretty consistent jump shooter when all is done.
Barnes joins one of the nation's strongest mid-major recruiting classes that already includes fast rising big man TaShawn Thomas, power wing Jherrod Stiggers and tough point guard Jevante Thompson.
