Hot Summer Needed For High Offers
It's a big summer ahead for
Marquis Webb, a 6-4, 180 pound junior shooting guard from Paterson Catholic H.S. in Paterson, N.J. Webb. Marquis will play this spring and summer for the T5T Playaz Club. Webb helped the Playaz win the Spring Fling and was also with Jim Salmon this past weekend at the Southern Invitational.
Webb will need to show more consistency this summer in his offensive game to convince the high majors to offer him a free ride. Webb told Rivalshoops.com that he is open in his recruiting process. Syracuse, Villanova UMass, N.C. State, Virginia, UConn, Seton Hall, Louisville and Kentucky are the schools Webb has told us he is very interested in.
Webb is enjoyed a solid junior campaign for the Cougars, averaging close to 20 points a game, four rebounds, four assists and two steals per game.
Webb is a very intelligent player. Webb uses his long, lanky frame to score well on the break. He is a streaky shooter from the perimeter, and if Webb is going to make the transition to the one slot, he will need to improve his handle. This is one skill Webb told us he is working hard on this spring and summer.
Webb plans to attend the adidas ABCD Camp and Five-Star Honesdale II Camp. He attended both of those events last year as a rising junior.
