Hopkins picks the Hoyas
Available big men are running at a high premium right now and one more came off the available board on Tuesday afternoon. John Thompson III and the Goergetown Hoyas got a nice Tuesday surprise when Mikael Hopkins decided to stay home.
A four-star prospect from traditional power Hyattsville (Md.) DeMatha, Hopkins is a 6-foot-8 power forward with game and body type similar to a young Elden Campbell.
Ranked #79 nationally, Hopkins visited Kansas over the weekend and had also visited Ohio State officially. He joins three-star Philadelphia wing Jabril Trawick to make up the Hoyas early recruiting class.
