Indiana has landed their second commitment from the class of 2017 and he ranks No. 105 nationally in the Rivals150.

Monday night, four-star senior Justin Smith, a 6-foot-7 small forward from Lincolnshire (Ill.) High, announced via his Twitter account that he will play his college basketball for Tom Crean and the Hoosiers.

First of all, Smith is a Big Ten ready athlete who should be ready for the upgrade in physical competition that he will be facing after a summer in the weight room.

At his best in transition, Smith attacks the rim and often plays above it when finishing in traffic. He's a strong baseline driver, rebounds the wing position very well and though jump shooting from beyond the three-point line isn't his strength, he has developed into a pretty reliable mid range jump shooter.

Defensively, Smith has the lateral quickness required to defend Big Ten wings and he's also big enough that he can play the four in small ball type settings.

With Smith in the fold, the Hoosiers now hold commitments from two prospects in the class of 2017. He joins three-star shooting guard Al Durham and they are far from done adding to their class.

This weekend, five-star small forward Kris Wilkes will be in Bloomington for his official visit and Indiana is in as good a shape as anybody involved in his recruitment. They are also strongly in the mix for four-star point guard Tremont Waters, who made his official visit over the weekend.
