The suspense is over for Rodney Hood. The five-star perimeter player is staying close to home.
Mississippi State fought off Alabama, Florida State and Louisville to land Hood. The 6-foot-7, 180-pounder announced his choice at a press conference in his hometown Meridian, Mississippi.
The No. 21 ranked prospect in the Rivals150, Hood will join his travel team teammate and four-star prospect Deville Smith in the Mississippi State 2011 recruiting class.
