Hood getting around

2009 four-star prospect Jon Hood is taking full advantage of his fall break at Madisonville (Ky.) North High School. The 6-foot-6, 185-pound shooting guard is using his time off to visit some schools outside driving distance.
On Tuesday Hood, the No. 39 ranked prospect in the class of 2009, spent the day in Gainsville on the Florida campus. Wednesday he met with Roy Williams at North Carolina. And today he will be on Duke's campus before traveling back to Kentucky and taking in the Midnight Madness festivities in Lexington.

"I enjoyed the Florida visit a lot," said Hood. "I played with the players and that was a lot of fun. I also talked with Coach Donovan and the coaches a long time and we got to know each other better.
"The North Carolina visit was good as well, but I didn't play with the team. I met with Coach Williams and Coach Robinson. But I am going to play with the Duke players."
Out of these four schools, Kentucky is the one school who has offered Hood up to this point.
Jon Hood scouting report:
Versatility is Hood's greatest attribute. Lanky and athletic, he has the all around skill base to effectively play every perimeter position. Very good off the bounce and with the length to cause trouble on the defensivel end, Hood mainly needs to gain strength to improve his game.
