Holloway to play in Ohio Valley Conference

Murray State picked up a tough point guard in Tyler Holloway, who will help the Racers compete against the high majors. Holloway, 6-foot, 165-pounds from Austin High School in Decatur, Ala., is excited about playing for one of the top programs in the Ohio Valley Conference.
"I’m very excited," he said. "I like the tradition they have. Murray State wins the Ohio Valley Conference a lot and goes to the tournament on a regular basis.

“I think it is a good fit for me. My freshman year, I will be playing behind Keith Jennifer, who is transferring from Virginia. It will be a good opportunity. I’m going to get playing time but more importantly learn a lot. Coach Cronin told me if I work hard and progress, I would have a chance to start my sophomore year.
“I like Coach Cronin a lot. He's real laid back and easy to talk to. I look forward to playing for him."
Holloway chose Murray State over Winthrop, Wofford, Birmingham Southern, Tennessee Tech and UNC-Ashville.
