Holley Sets Up First Official Trip

Jesse Holley, a 6-3, 185 pound two-sport star from Roselle H.S. in Roselle, N.J., has planned his first official visit for later this fall.
Holley, who hopes to play both football and basketball in college, told Rivalshoops.com that he will visit Michigan State the weekend of Nov. 15-17.

Although he has yet to set up firm dates with either school, Holley said he is discussing an early December trip to North Carolina and a possible January visit to Virginia.
In addition to the three aforementioned schools, Holley said he also has an interest in UCLA, Michigan, Notre Dame and Maryland. He said all of the colleges are open to letting him play both sports, with the exception of Notre Dame (football only).
Holley said he spoke to North Carolina Head Basketball Coach Matt Doherty last Monday, Sept. 23.
"He told me that he saw me play at ABCD and in Las Vegas and Florida," Holley explained. "He said that even if I didn't play football, he would still have recruited me as a basketball player because I have a solid basketball presence out on the court. I would have the chance to play behind Raymond Felton."
The football season has gotten off to a rocky start thus far at Roselle, where the team lost some key players to academics and injury. Holley said that despite triple coverage from opposing defenses, he has managed to snag nine catches for roughly 93 yards in the team's two losses.
Rivalshoops.com will keep you abreast of Holley's recruitment this fall, as well as another other visits that he plans, so stay tuned.
