Hokies land major in-state target

One of the keys to building any successful program is locking down the top in-state talent. Seth Greenburg and his staff at Virginia Tech have been hard at work trying to make that happen and they were rewarded in a big way on Tuesday when Dorian Finney-Smith elected to stay in-state and picked the Hokies.
One of the most versatile players in the country, Finney-Smith is a long and skilled 6-foot-7 who ranks 37th nationally in the Rivals150 for the class of 2011.

Need him to run your team as a Scottie Pippen type point-forward and he can do it for stretches. Need him to score, he'll do that. Or, he's quick, long and athletic enough to even play some in the post if needed.
The addition of Finney-Smith, a four-star prospct, gives the Hokies a very strong recruiting class and should move them into the top 20 nationally. Also included in the class are four-star forward C.J. Barksdale, four-star wing Robert Brown and three-star point guard Marquis Rankin.
