Hill Chooses A School

Nick Hill, a cerebral 6-2, 185 pound combo guard from DuQuoin H.S. in DuQuoin, Ill., committed to Western Kentucky, according to Nick's family. Hill is still planning a visit to Western Kentucky for the weekend of Sept. 22. His mom, Debbie, confirmed the commitment for RivalsHoops.com.
Hill visit to Western Kentucky won't be his first trip to the Sun Belt Conference program. He took an unofficial trip to WKU last year, where he took in a basketball game.

Hill had told Rivalshoops.com that he was essentially down to Western Kentucky and Kansas State. Of the two, Western has offered and will also be in Hill's home on Sept. 20, while Kansas State was going to evaluate Nick in late September.
At a tournament out west in late July, Hill told Rivalshoops.com that he was also considering Eastern Illinois, Drake, Southern Illinois, SW Missouri State, Wichita State and San Francisco in addition to Western Kentucky.
Hill was the steadying backcourt influence for David Peeters' Gateway program this past spring and summer. A good perimeter marksman and passer, Hill isn't explosive off the dribble, but he's a cagey player who finds different ways to beat his opponent.
At DuQuoin H.S. last year, Hill averaged 27 points, seven rebounds, five assists and two steals per game. He said he has a 3.3 GPA and scored a 20 on the ACT.
As if he wasn't busy enough with school and the recruiting process, Hill also plays football for the DuQuoin H.S. squad.
