High-majors tracking Patterson

When it comes time for Patrick Patterson to make a decision about his future, there is no doubt that he will have plenty of options. The 6-foot-8, 225-pound power forward from Huntington (WV) High School has quite a few scholarship offers from high-major programs. Patterson, the No. 72 ranked player in the class of 2007, has already taken a handful of unofficial visits.
"West Virginia, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Tennessee, Wake Forest, Florida, Georgia and Marshall are the schools that I like," said Patterson. "Coaches from Virginia, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest and Florida have already been down to watch me play. Also, I have scholarship offers from Florida, Georgia, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest and West Virginia.

"I have taken unofficial visits to Wake Forest, Virginia Tech and West Virginia," he added. "I really enjoyed taking visits to each of those schools. I am looking forward to taking all five official visits when that time comes."
Until the time comes for Patterson, the four-star prospect, to begin scheduling some official visits, he is going to focus on his junior year at Huntington High School.
According to the 6-foot-8, 225-pound power forward, he and his teammates are off to a hot start.
"Yes, I am enjoying the season so far," said Patterson. "We are 10-0 right now and playing real well as a team, which is important. I am playing pretty good as well. I believe that I am averaging 15-points, 14 rebounds and six blocks per game."
