High Majors Start Taking Peek

FT. WAYNE, Ind. -- He might have been the same person in the same body, but there were two different Kyle Vissers at this weekend's Spiece Run N Slam Tournament.
Visser, a 6-9, 225 pound power forward/center from Forest Hills Central H.S. in Grand Rapids, Mich., played a major role in the Grand Rapids Storm's march into the Sweet 16.

Visser struggled in his first three games here in the Hoosier State, having trouble making shots in close. But by the end of Saturday night, Visser was finishing the break with consistency and playing with much greater confidence.
There's little doubt that Visser is a mid-major priority who could play himself up to a high major level player with a continued strong spring and summer.
Visser told the Insiders Report/Rivalshoops.com that he has scholarship offers thus far from San Diego State, Central Michigan, Toledo, Wichita State and Western Michigan.
Marquette is also in the mix, while Xavier, Wake Forest and Notre Dame all came in to take a peek at Visser in workouts this spring. Michigan and Michigan State are also sniffing around, but Visser said that those two Big 10 programs are looking more at his teammate Drew Naymick.
Thus far, Visser has unofficially visited Central Michigan, Western Michigan and Marquette.
Visser averaged 11 points, eight rebounds and three blocks per game as a junior at Forest Hills Central this past season. He said he has a 3.6 GPA and has already tallied a 24 on the ACT exam.
Visser plans to attend the Nike All-American Camp in Indianapolis this July, and will also compete with the Grand Rapids Storm at the adidas Big Time Tournament.
We will keep you posted on Visser's recruitment in the weeks and month's to come, so stay tuned to Rivalshoops for more updates.
